How To Start Your Own Business – ONLINE

Thinking about starting a small business?   Have you already started and realize you may have missed a few things?   This workshop is for you!   We review the steps to a successful start, the registrations and regulations, and the components of sound business planning, including financial projections.

This is an ONLINE workshop.  View the class LIVE, but from the comfort of your own home or office. 

NELSON COUNTY residents without reliable broadband service, also have the option to view the workshop with others at the Rockfish Valley Community Center.

After you have registered, you will receive a short informational form (via email) you must complete and return.  Once this is received back by the Central Virginia SBDC, you will receive another email with a link and directions to connect to the workshop – taught LIVE by the Central Virginia SBDC Director, Betty Hoge.

Those interested in moving forward with their business ideas after viewing the workshop are eligible for business advising appointments with SBDC Business Advisors.  Assistance focuses on concept development; business profile; feasibility studies; business plans, including financial projections; and/or assistance in developing a viable funding strategy for the new business.

This workshop is intended for residents of Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, Nelson and Orange Counties.
